Screen help

Verifying your email

Confirming your address, why it is asked for, and what to do if the mail never arrives.

What this screen is for

Confirming that the address on the account is really yours. It is asked once, and it is why we can reach you about the domains you monitor rather than sending mail into a mailbox nobody owns.

The two ways you get here

Straight from signing up
The code is already in the address bar and the page verifies by itself. It then clears the code out of the address bar, so it does not end up in your history or get passed on to another site.
From the link in the verification email
The link carries the code. If you would rather type it, the form on this page takes it.

The code is single use and it is not a password. It proves you can read that mailbox, nothing more.

If nothing arrives

  1. Check the spam folder. Verification mail is exactly the shape spam filters distrust.
  2. Go to sign in and try to sign in - if the address is unverified, a Send the verification link again button appears.
  3. If it still does not arrive, email support@mailguardhq.com from that address.

What this screen does not do

It does not sign you in on its own. Once verified, use sign in.
