What this screen is for
It answers what has happened to this account, and who did it. Members joining and leaving, roles changing, tokens created and revoked, settings changed - and any time somebody at MailGuardHQ opened your account.
That last one is why the screen exists. We can, in support, look at your panel the way you see it, because describing a broken screen over email rarely works. When we do, it is written here, immediately, and you did not have to ask.
What each row tells you
- When
- In your own time zone. Stored in UTC.
- Who
- You, another member by name, MailGuardHQ support, or the system acting on a schedule.
- What
- One sentence in plain language. The underlying event code is there too, for anybody scripting against it.
- Reference
- Quote it to us and we can tell you exactly which event you mean.
When MailGuardHQ support has been in your account
Those rows are called out separately, and they say when the session was due to close - so you can see how long it could have lasted, not only that it happened. A second row lands when it closes.
- They could not change anything
- A support session is read-only. Every request that would write is refused, so nothing in your account can have been altered from inside one.
- They could not obtain your credentials
- No password, no password reset, and no API token value - a token value is not stored anywhere in a form that can be read back, by us or by anybody.
- A reason was recorded
- Whoever opened your account had to write down why before they could, and it is kept with the record.
We show you that it was MailGuardHQ rather than which individual. If you want to know who and why, ask us and quote the reference on the row - it resolves to exactly one event.
What this screen does not do
It is not editable, by you or by us. A history that can be tidied is not a history.
It does not hold what you typed, only what changed. There are no request bodies here, no passwords and no token values.
It shows this organisation. If you hold a seat in more than one, each has its own activity.
